Job Title Institutional Research and Effectiveness - Research Assistant/Associate
Job Description

Responsible for performing statistical analyses and preparing reports; Coordinates campus-wide studies and surveys; Expert in data analysis, statistics, and reporting; responsible for internal and shared file organization and accessibility.

Essential Duties Summary

● Accesses data made available by Data Services
● Writes Infomaker Queries and Reports to access data
● Serves as Jenzebar EX data expert.
● Serves as point of contact for IPEDS; submits data to IPEDS, ensuring accuracy of data
● Uses data to prepare standard, custom, ad-hoc reports and dashboards
● Makes reports and dashboards available to relevant constituents via Assistant Director
● Performs statistical analyses on data to inform decisions
● Serves as point of contact for external studies, such as NSSE, FSSE, etc.
● Prepares data files for external studies, National Student Clearinghouse, etc.
● Prepares reports and analyses for all internal surveys created in Qualtrics
● Serves as point of contact for external surveys, such as US News, Princeton Review, etc.
● Prepares data for factbook and external surveys
● Maintains shared and internal file systems and archives of extensive institutional, system-wide, state-wide, and national data including creating and maintaining the Census Date file archive.
● Regularly engages in self-directed professional development in order to maintain current knowledge and industry standards

Required Qualifications

Microsoft Office Suite

Advanced Excel Skills

Experience with databases and/or survey research

Preferred Qualifications

SQL experience preferred

Physical Demands

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Must be able to climb, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger items, grasp, talk, hear and perform repetitive motions.
